Jason Garriott

Co-Founder & Executive Director

Jason learned the value of music at the age of 12 after his father passed away very unexpectedly. He started playing guitar that same year and discovered music's healing properties. He began attending concerts in high school and learned how music forms communities, which oftentimes include a diverse mix of people. Building off these experiences, he founded Music Neighbors because he believes supporting local music is crucial to preserving and improving Nashville's culture. He believes music is one of the best resources we have in society to bring people from different backgrounds together and build a more inclusive and equitable community.

Chelsea Garriott

Co-Founder & Operations Director

Chelsea is a huge proponent of the value that music holds in all of our lives. Having been involved with choir since the age of 8, dabbling in songwriting, and playing various instruments, music has been a fundamental part of her life since a young age. She is eager to help allow more people the opportunity to experience the amazing wealth of talent that the Nashville music community boasts through her work with Music Neighbors. Additionally, she strives to empower more musicians to continue pursuing their passion for creating by assisting with our video shoots and marketing initiatives.
